The Mystery of Baby's Sleep

I often wonder about babies and their actions, especially their sleep. What makes them smile and cry sometimes? It seems more than just dreams.

According to modern medical science, babies sleep most of the day to help their brains grow. From a spiritual perspective, a baby’s sleep resembles a deep meditative state, with fewer thoughts crowding their mind. Both of these perspectives feel true. A baby’s brain is fresh, not yet overloaded with information, and this emptiness allows the baby to experience a state of pure meditation. This flow of energy through their body converts into the growth of fresh, healthy cells.

When the human body aligns with nature, it moves effortlessly through life. Disease occurs when we break this alignment. Ease leads to happiness, while disease leads to negative emotions like pain and anger. Babies seem to naturally reduce their discomfort during sleep, refreshing their cells and energy. This repeated cycle of renewal leads them to experience the highest states of happiness through meditative rest.

Now, I can’t help but wonder—why did we lose this incredible ability to heal ourselves, to reduce pain and rejuvenate energy as we did in our childhood? It seems that the belief that we’ve outgrown these capabilities has left us distant from our natural, healing state.
